Resist:Persist Mixed media wall panel. Smalti and desoldering braid. The concept for this piece came from a ceramic vase a client owns. He commissioned me to take the color scheme and design and create a wall piece in smalti for him. The title plays on the fact that the copper dividing lines are meant to represent the resist the ceramic artist used to keep the glaze colors from running together. I used desoldering braid as my “resist.” Resistance and persistence are also themes that continually run though my life. 16" x 9". Sold.
